A new era in customisation
Since 2012, we have produced several Hancock Vulcanised Articles collections and have been blessed with producing for some of fashion’s most iconic houses, including Maison Margiela, Alfred Dunhill and Stella McCartney. Our outerwear and accessories collections for men and women have been sold globally, and we continue to work with some of the most innovative and exciting designers and stores around the globe.
With an ever-changing consumer market, we have taken positive steps by adapting to meet the growing needs of a new generation of customers looking for unique outerwear. This week we have launched our customisation service with free life-time repairs as a celebration of all that is possible at Hancock.
Our manufacturing process is truly unique, our skilled craftsmen and women have over 40 years of experience making vulcanised coats by hand. What we offer can’t be replicated anywhere else in the world. Cumbernauld has been home to this manufacturing process for over 120 years and we continue to champion and develop our legacy.
With such a wealth of experience and a truly handmade process at our fingertips, we are dedicated to producing customisable outerwear to the exacting specifications of our discerning customers.
Starting with the core articles it is possible for our skilled team to edit or add pockets, lengthen sleeves and hem-lines and replace fixed collars with a button-in or even a hood. Our standard buggy liners can be upgraded for quilted or woollen button-in vests. Stock cottons come in twelve block colours however we have a vast range of prints, wools, silks and cottons that can be used to create something truly unique.
All these additional options are free of charge. In addition, we now offer a free-for-life restoration service on all pockets, seams and collars. We believe this is a service unmatched by other outerwear manufacturers and we are more than proud to be able to offer this to our customers.
If there’s something you’re interested in developing, just let us know. Technical drawings, measurements and fabric swatches can be posted out to any destination. An idea of what style, fabric and colours you prefer is all we need to make a start.
